LastFrame does not automatically send diagnostics or recordings. Do not attach a private relay unless it is necessary and every participant agrees.

01How do I start a relay?

Use one iPhone, choose 3 to 8 players and a 3, 4, or 5-second take length, then follow the handoff instructions. Each player records one take and sees only the previous take’s final frame. Keep the phone awake and leave enough free storage for all clips and the final movie.

02Why can’t LastFrame use the camera or microphone?

Open iOS Settings > Apps > LastFrame and enable Camera and Microphone. Both are required because each take contains video and live sound. If access is already enabled, close other apps using the camera or microphone, reopen LastFrame, and restart the iPhone if the capture session remains unavailable.

03Why did recording stop or fail?

A camera interruption, another app using capture hardware, very low storage, or leaving the app during a take can interrupt recording. Return to LastFrame, confirm the camera is ready, free storage if needed, and retry the current turn. Keep LastFrame in the foreground until the short take finishes.

04Why is there no sound in the finished relay?

Confirm Microphone access is enabled before recording and raise media volume during playback. Audio cannot be added later to a take recorded without usable microphone input. If one take is silent, retry the relay after checking that no other app or connected audio device is interfering with input.

05Can I recover an interrupted relay?

Yes, when its local files remain intact. Reopen LastFrame and it will restore the latest saved checkpoint. For privacy, recovery returns through a protected handoff state instead of immediately revealing another player’s frame. If recovery reports missing or unreadable media, choose Discard to remove the damaged local relay and start again.

06How do I discard a relay and delete its takes?

Use the session exit control and return to the home screen, or start another relay from setup. Confirming the exit removes the active relay workspace, including local takes, recovery data, and the local final master. A copy already saved to Photos or shared elsewhere must be deleted separately from that destination.

07Why won’t the final movie assemble?

Assembly needs every player’s completed local clip and enough free storage for a second final MP4 file. Free device storage, keep the app in the foreground, and retry. If LastFrame reports that a saved clip is missing or corrupt after relaunch, discard that relay and record a new one.

08How do I save the movie to Photos?

At the premiere, tap Save to Photos and allow Add Photos access when iOS asks. This permission lets LastFrame add the finished movie but does not let it browse your library. If denied, open iOS Settings > Apps > LastFrame > Photos and allow Add Photos, then retry. The local master remains available until you leave or discard the relay.

09How do I share without granting Photos access?

At the premiere, choose Share the Relay. The iOS share sheet lets you select AirDrop, Messages, Files, or another available destination without saving to Photos first. The selected service or recipient then controls the shared copy under its own privacy practices.

10Where is my relay stored, and is it uploaded?

The active relay, recovery checkpoint, last-frame references, and final master stay in LastFrame’s private local app storage and are excluded from device backup. They are not uploaded to Inspirix. Returning home, starting another relay, discarding recovery, or deleting the app removes that local workspace according to iOS behavior.
