Frequently asked questions
01How do I allow or change Photos access?
Open iOS Settings > Apps > RELIC ROLL > Photos. Choose Full Access, Limited Access, or None. With Limited Access, RELIC ROLL can use only the photos you select. To expand that set, use Choose More Photos in the app or edit the selected photos in iOS Settings.
02Why is no photo available for today?
The authorized library may not contain an eligible older photo within your chosen date range, or available photos may already be excluded. Check the date range, allow additional photos if you use Limited Access, and try again. If Photos access is off, the built-in privacy explanation remains available but your library cannot be searched.
03Does RELIC ROLL upload or delete my original photos?
No. Photo selection, the reveal, notes, and Museum records are processed on your iPhone. RELIC ROLL does not upload originals to an Inspirix server and never modifies or deletes items in Photos. Deleting a Museum reference or a Look Later copy affects only RELIC ROLL data.
04How do I add and remove Museum items or exclusions?
Use the action controls after a reveal to keep a memory in your Museum or exclude it from future selection. Open the Museum or the relevant settings to review and remove local records. Removing a record does not remove the original photo from Photos.
05How does Look Later work with screenshots?
From a screenshot or the Photos share sheet, choose RELIC ROLL, select when it should return, and save it. The Share Extension places an app-owned copy and reminder metadata in the protected App Group container. If RELIC ROLL is missing from the share sheet, tap More and enable it. "Delete after viewing" removes only this copy and its reminder.
06Why did my screenshot reminder not arrive?
Open iOS Settings > Notifications > RELIC ROLL and allow notifications. Also confirm the reminder time is still in the future and that a Focus mode or notification summary is not delaying it. Reminders are local; the screenshot remains in Look Later even when notification permission is denied.
07Why is the Widget blurred or not updating?
The Widget is intentionally blurred to avoid exposing a private photo on the Home Screen. Open RELIC ROLL to reveal content. If it appears stale, open the app once, confirm the source item still exists, then remove and add the Widget again if needed. iOS controls the exact Widget refresh schedule.
08How do I restore the lifetime RELIC ROLL+ purchase?
Open RELIC ROLL > Settings > Unlock RELIC ROLL+ and choose Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account that made the purchase and make sure the App Store is reachable. The product is a one-time non-consumable unlock, not a subscription, and no RELIC ROLL account is required.
09What happens after an Apple refund or purchase revocation?
StoreKit refreshes the verified entitlement and premium access may be removed. Existing local Museum or Look Later content is not automatically deleted. Questions about billing or refund decisions must be handled through Apple because Inspirix does not receive payment credentials.
10How do I delete RELIC ROLL data?
Delete individual Museum and Look Later items inside the app and adjust exclusions or preferences in Settings. Deleting the app removes its local app and extension data according to iOS behavior. It does not delete original Photos items or copies you exported elsewhere. Because there is no RELIC ROLL cloud account, deleted local content cannot be recovered from Inspirix.
